Course Aim
To give participants the knowledge to evacuate personnel, to assess when to tackle fires and the skill to be able to use a fire extinguisher safely and effectively
Objectives
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Know the requirements of the current safety legislation
- Identify fire hazards and List control measures
- Know fire evacuation procedures and assist in evacuations
- Know and understand the uses of the various types of fire extinguishers
- Select the correct type of fire extinguisher for the task
- Effective use of extinguisher
