Course Aim
To give the participants the knowledge to assess the danger associated with chemical spills and take the appropriate action to avoid spills and control spills where necessary
Objectives
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Have an awareness of procedures for chemical spill clean-up
- List their responsibilities for spill control
- Know the standard practices for the containment of chemical agents
- Identify strategies to prevent spills
- Assess hazards presented by spills
- Identify Haz-Mat spills
- Cean-up spills where appropriate
- When and where to report spills
- Know how to decontaminate spill sites
